Yesterday, Year 2 investigated whether a cardboard box is waterproof. Two brave volunteers dressed up in waterproof clothing and sat beneath their cardboard house (box). Unfortunately, bad weather (buckets or water) rained down on them and their house did not survive. The children observed that cardboard is not waterproof as it absorbed the water, went floppy and eventually fell apart. Great exploring Year 2!
