Congratulations to our new House Captains.
Many of our Year 6 children took the opportunity to apply to be a House Captain.
It takes courage to put yourself out there and stand in front of your peers and make a speech, and yet many of them did.
Every speech was well written and it was obvious the children had spent time practising what they wanted to say. I want to say how proud we all are of you.
To those of you who weren’t successful this time, well done! You should be so incredibly proud of yourselves for taking a risk and being brave. I know you will each bounce back and eagerly take the next opportunity that becomes available. Great things come to those who persevere, have courage and self-belief. Remember that!
To those children who are now House Captains- well done! It is a big responsibility and I know each of you will take the responsibilities that come with the role seriously. I know too that you all accepted your achievement with excitement and happiness and also with good grace which shows a real empathy for others.
Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone walking through the school gates again on Monday.
