Wrap-around Care
We are fortunate to be able to offer full wrap around child care for those families who are seeking childcare at the beginning or end of the school day. Our wrap around childcare is provided by two organisations who operate separately, but in partnerships with the school. Wrap around care provided by FISH and Twiglets is available for children aged 3 - 11 who attend Little Acorns through to Year 6.
Fish Breakfast Club
FISH is our Breakfast club provider, ‘Our breakfast clubs are open every school morning from 7:45am. We understand that some children will still have their sleepy heads on, so our breakfast clubs are designed to wake them up gently! With a great choice of quiet activities on offer your children can choose from games and activities such as lego, marble runs, books, drawing, colouring and puzzles, as well as the option of playing football or taking advantage of the outside space.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we offer all children attending the early birds breakfast club a choice of a healthy breakfast such as cereal, crumpets, toast, fruit and yogurts. On some occasions we offer children the option of trying something different such as bacon sandwiches, croissants or pancakes’.

The Twiglets After School Club
The Twiglets Club was formed in January 2001 for children who attend The Topsham School. The name Twiglets was chosen as each year group within the school is named after a different tree. The Club is run by a voluntary committee made up of parents and staff and is open on weekdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm for children aged three to eleven years.
The children enjoy plenty of outdoor play and have a wide choice of indoor activities including construction toys, puzzles, craft materials, a soccer table and computer games. We also have themed weeks, for example circus skills and harvest, and speciality craft days, including Multi cultural craft activities.
Parental InvolvementParental involvement is very important to us and for the smooth running of Twiglets Club. The Management Committee is made up of volunteers and a paid Treasurer. If you would like to get involved with the club, please speak to Sharon Wannell or a committee member. We are pleased to embrace any skills parents can offer the Club.
