Year 1 had a great morning at Topsham Fire Station, asking some great questions and listening well. Their visit supported their current learning around the their theme - Fire
On Wednesday morning, after learning everything there is to know about chocolate, Year 3 became budding chocolatiers and made their very own chocolates. They made a mixture of white, milk and dark chocolates before adding flavours. Everything from strawberry to fudge. A big thank you to our parent helpers and we can't wait to share the chocolates with parents next Monday!Wow amazing costumes on World Book Day. Everyone enjoyed pairing up together to share books and read with each other. A fantastic day, the staff costumes looked great too. Can you spot Wally in the pictures?
A chocolatier visited year 4 as part of their chocolate and fair trade theme. The children tasted different flavoured ganache and then piped them into chocolate eggs. The children investigated packaging in are looking forward to their visit to the chocolate shop. They will be designing and making their own packaging and chocolates as part of the theme.
Trumpets, French horns, Trombones! Year 4 have begun whole class brass lessons and made great progress in just one lesson!
Year 4 had a great time visiting chocolate shops in Exeter to find out how chocolate is made and to investigated packaging.
