It has been another really good week in school. We are needing to tweak a few things but all in all things have been calm and days have run smoothly.
It isn’t all about logistics of course, there is clear evidence of lots of teaching and learning happening and this is such a great thing to see; our children back in school learning.
I know that there is lots happening in the media and across the news with changes happening in different areas of the country in relation to COVID 19, including some areas returning to lockdown. So far, we in Devon have not had to face this and this is something I am so grateful for. However, I know that many of our families will have friends and relatives who do live in the areas that are affected and this brings worry and anxieties.
As things remain uncertain, it is so important that we all try and remain calm and kind to one another. It is also important that we take time over the weekends to spend time doing things that support us to feel calm; things that make us feel happy and at peace. These opportunities give us emotional strength and the ability to keep things in perspective. For many, including me, it’s being by the sea. Being able to look out into the expanse of water and watching and listening to the waves roll in and out never stops to bring a smile and swimming in the waves? What could be better?
A friend sent me this poem and it seems to fit with this newsletter.

We continue to be “in this together”. I hope you all manage to have some time doing something that brings each of you joy. Have a good weekend and see you all again on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend
