    Music

    Picture
Music provision is something we value within our school.  We have a team of dedicated peripatetic music teachers, from Music Devon, who provide a wide range of music tuition including drumming, woodwind, brass, vocal coaching and percussion. A number of our children enjoy the opportunity to learn to play an instrument during the course of the school day.

We provide opportunities for children to perform to their class, to the whole school during our celebration assemblies and during other concerts and events throughout the year.
Our choir rehearses each week and they regularly perform at community events.

    Recent highlights have included:
    • Young Voices held in Birmingham- a national concert bringing together choirs from across the country.
    • Singing for Joy- An event organised by RELP (The River Exe Learning Partnership- The Topsham School is part of this community of schools) that brought together 500 Year 1 and 500 year 4 children to sing together in the Great Hall.
    • Exeter Cathedral Outreach Project- bringing together chosen choirs from across the Exeter Area to sing together and with the Cathedral Choir.
